DIY Head in a Jar Prank

Follow the tutorial and scare those fridge-bound famished food foragers with a head in a jar!.

Making your own head in a jar is easy, but requires some photo editing skills. I've included a tutorial on how I made mine, and took me about 30 minutes to compose. Personalizing this prank will make it more effective. But, if you're not a pro with photo editing, you can download my flattened head image below. Download the image sample

Prepare jar

You’ll need a jar large enough to hold your picture. I got this 5 litre glass jar at my local hardware store for $15.

Filling the jar about halfway with water, I used a mix of yellow, orange, and green liquid food dye I tinted the water to resemble a preserving solution. Just like in the vintage science fiction movies.

Put head in jar

Curling the laminated printout to fit through the jar neck the sheet was inserted, the jar was then topped off with water until full. The jar was then sealed. The head in a jar was now ready to be placed inside the fridge to prank hungry foragers.

Place in fridge

Place jar into fridge. Maybe you hide it behind a few items so that a person has to be digging to find it, or maybe you leave it right up top to scare people as they initially open the fridge.

Since the solution reminded me of brine solution I decided to add a few hard boiled eggs to my head jar for fun.

Have fun scaring your friends with a head in a jar!

DIY Makeup Brush Storage

The first item you need to pick up is a glass vase. Any glass vase will do, as it all depends on your taste. I have two, square, clear glass vases at 5″L x 5″ W x 4.5′ H; and another square, clear glass vase at 3.25″L x 4″W x 5.5″

Second, you will need beads or any type of filler that you would like, to hold your brushes in the upright position. I don’t know the exact filler that I have for my brush holders, but I explain it as a clear, plastic bead that you would find in the floral arrangement section of your art supply store. Once again this selection depends on what you like best!

File Box Bathroom Appliance Storage

I picked up a package of 3M Command hooks, figuring I could slip the metal loop through the criss-cross caging on my file box. Next, I measured the distance between the two holes and put pencil marks on the side of the vanity. Using those marks, I exposed the 3M tape on the back of the hooks and got those suckers good and stuck to the surface. The last step was to slip the file box in place over the hooks and fill ‘er up.

DIY Cheesy Pull Apart Pizza Bread

Looking for another easy and out of this world tasting recipe?. Try this cheesy pull apart pizza bread! It’s one of the easiest, most delicious things you’ll make.
All credits to hip2save.com

We’ll need 2 cans of Pizza Dough or Biscuits, 2 cups mozzarella cheese, 1 cup
parmesan cheese, 2 tablespoons of parsley flakes, 1/3 cup olive oil, 1 – 6 oz package of pepperoni and 1 teaspoon minced garlic

Then, cut pizza dough or biscuits into quarter pieces. Cut the pepperoni into smaller pieces. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and toss so that the oil is spread evenly.

Put into greased baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for about 35 minutes at 350 degrees (or until the top is brown and the center is thoroughly cooked).

Be sure to check it in the middle before you pull it out. If the middle is still not cooked thoroughly, be sure to continue baking and check it every 5 minutes until it’s done. Flip over on to a plate while it’s still hot. I used a Bundt cake pan but you could use a regular 9×13 baking dish as well. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping if desired.

We love how easy it was to create and that it can be customized with whatever veggies your family enjoys. Want a bite?
